Stainless Steel Cooling System Extended to U.S.
Hasco’s temperature control range for injection molds is now available with its U.S. system ZI, providing leak-proof temperature control.
Hasco has extended its VA stainless steel cooling range to the U.S. system ZI, used for the reliable cooling of injection molds, whether for hot or cold water or cooling oil.
Also used in cleanroom environments and for medical technology, these mold cooling elements are made from high-quality 1.4305 stainless steel. Robust, safe and easily coupled, they enable reliable and leak-proof temperature control; the cooling system is equipped with optimized FKM-quality seals and can be used at temperatures of up to 150°C for water and 200°C for oil.
With high-temperature applications in particular, the different coefficients of thermal expansion of steel and brass result in small leaks from time to time; this is offset by this stainless steel option, Hasco reports.
Hasco also offers stainless steel HT components specifically for the high-temperature range, which are equipped with FKM seals that enable permanent maximum operating temperatures of 180°C for water and up to 220°C for oil. The low compression set of the sealing rings ensures safe use with changing operating temperatures. Failures and leaks are eliminated.
The Hasco temperature control range in stainless steel — new with the U.S. system ZI — includes more than 30 product group offerings to meet customer needs and applications. Its compatibility with the standard range allows the optimization of existing molds, switching from brass to stainless steel, and enables combinations with standard components, where required.
The system extension has also been adapted to international market requirements — as well as couplings and plug-in connectors, it includes products such as hose clips, sealing plugs and diverting bridges.
