Nanoplas, a supplier of injection mold coatings and maintenance products, releases Min-Lube high-performance grease designed for severe, high-temperature environments as well as food- and pharmaceutical-related industries.

The NSF H1-accredited product is a mineral oil base thickened with a proprietary calcium sulfonate complex and a carefully selected additive package focused on thermal, oxidative and mechanical stability. It contains Micronox to provide antimicrobial protection, preventing degradation of the lubricant. Min-Lub solves the problems of other greases that dry out, cake and bleed during high-temperature applications, Nanoplas says.

The company uses nano organic pressure additives for wear protection which are said to enable better uniformity in the grease and minimizes the chance that the grease will dry out. In addition, during intense pressure, the nano organic additives polish/smoothen the structure of the steel, creating a smoother and smoother surface. This process is done chemically within the grease and no particles are created during the process.

Min-Lube offers exceptional water resistance and works effectively for extended periods under water ingress in food processing and other industries as shown in Water Washout Test ASTM D 1264, exhibiting a 0.5% loss at 175°F. It has a working temperature range of -15°F to 550 °F.

Compatible with lithium-type greases, Min-Lube is ideal for use with mold components as well as bearings, bushings, cams, cables, chains, conveyors, gears and more. It provides high load-bearing properties, wear protection and extends the lifetime of machinery, the result of its optimized mechanical stability, which reportedly shows no evidence of shear breakdown even in a test (ASTM D 1831) modified to create severe lubricant stress.

Extensive corrosion testing (including a severe salt fogging test) has also proved that Min-Lube protects against rust and corrosion at high levels unmatched by other food-grade lubricants. It contains no metals, PTFE or silicone.

Min-Lube grease is now available online and shipped nationwide in 16-ounce jars, a 12-pack of 16-ounce cartridges or 5-gallon pails.
