Accede Mold and Tool Co., a leader in advanced moldmaking for the plastic injection molding industry, presented a $5,000 check donation to Edison Career and Technology High School. This generous contribution is in honor of Roger Fox, the President and Owner of Accede, who recently received prestigious national recognition for his excellence in the plastic injection moldmaking industry. The donation will provide Edison students with valuable resources and opportunities to explore careers in the mold manufacturing field.
The donation emphasizes the strong partnership between Accede Mold and Tool Co. and Edison Career and Technology High School. Many Accede employees are proud alumni of Edison, which highlights their enduring connection to the school. This relationship reflects a commitment to nurturing the next generation of moldmakers.
"We have a lot of great ideas on what to spend this money on," says Dan Collins, a Career and Technical Education Machine Shop Teacher at Edison. "This will give our students a leg up on the competition so we can provide better generations of machinists for the City of Rochester."
"In appreciation for the many years of supporting Accede and their apprenticeship needs, I want to give this check to the great people at Edison,” says Roger Fox, the Owner and President of Accede Mold & Tool Company. “There is a lot of history with the school and it goes back almost 35 years, this is only a small part of how we can thank you very much.”
This donation will help ensure that Edison students have access to the tools, training, and hands-on learning experiences necessary for pursuing careers in the mold-making industry. The collaboration between Accede and Edison continues to make a meaningful impact on the local workforce and the future of the manufacturing industry in Rochester.
