VizSeek offers AI-powered data extraction and visual search. The software company highlights its shape search technology to professionals in injection molding. Now, the company offers enhanced data extraction capabilities.

The nature of injection molding is that much of its important information and value is contained in engineering drawings, which need to be readily available. However, it’s not always that easy. The name of the file is searchable, but the content — the gold contained in the shapes and attributes inside the file — are not searchable.

VizSeek offers moldmakers the capability to designate where the extracted data should go, (for example, in the form of a spreadsheet). Then, the company does the rest, pulling all shapes and attributes from pdfs, 3D models and 2D drawings to drop the data where it’s needed so it can be searched and easily found. Customers with legacy blueprints can even scan the blueprints; then, VizSeek’s software can capture the shapes and text from the prints, making even these more difficult items to locate searchable.

So, instead of spending many expensive engineering hours tediously hunting through drawings trying to find critical information, an injection molder can locate the data in seconds, turning wasted time into profitable time and lost data into something more valuable.
