Meet Corey Alton Fox. Corey is a seasoned professional and third-generation leader in the moldmaking industry. Currently serving as the operations manager at Accede Mold & Tool, an independent and privately-owned injection mold builder in Rochester, New York, Corey brings a wealth of expertise to the editorial advisory board (EAB).
Corey’s roots in the company run deep, with his grandfather, Alton Fox, founding Accede Mold & Tool in 1981. Following his graduation from Webster Thomas High School in 2007, Corey wholeheartedly embraced the family legacy, joining the company full time. In 2009, he earned certifications as both a machinist and moldmaker, a testament to his commitment to skill development.
In 2020, Corey’s mastery of the craft propelled him to the role of moldmaking manager, earning him recognition as a Rising Star Awards finalist by the Rochester Business Journal and Rochester Technology and Manufacturing Association. His exceptional commitment, leadership and innovative contributions to the manufacturing industry garnered well-deserved attention.
Corey plays a crucial part in enhancing manufacturing operations, setting and achieving production goals, and upholding the highest standards of quality.
June 2023 marked a significant milestone in Corey’s career, as he was promoted to operations manager at Accede Mold & Tool. In this pivotal role, he oversees manufacturing specialty departments, the quality and inspection department, and the maintenance and safety department. Corey plays a crucial part in enhancing manufacturing operations, setting and achieving production goals, and upholding the highest standards of quality.
His leadership extends to employee development through training, mentorship and team building initiatives. Roger Fox, owner and president of Accede, expresses his confidence in Corey’s abilities, stating, “Corey demonstrates all the qualities we were looking for in an operations manager. He is process-driven and quality-conscious in all aspects of his work.”
Beyond the professional realm, Corey finds joy as a dedicated father to his 2-and-a-half-year-old son, Parker. His passion for automotive craftsmanship is evident as he invests time in working on his Jeep, and he actively participates in the Finger Lakes 4x4 Offroad Club, merging his love for off-roading with community involvement.
