DP Technology Corp., the parent company of the ESPRIT CAM software system, showcases a probing option that’s compatible with any combination of CNC machine, control and touch probe manufacturer.
New features added to the software’s probing support include:
- Offline inspection programming, which offers users the benefits of virtual stimulation for program verification and collision detection
- Hassle-free post-processing and full control over each probing routine
- Compatibility with more CNC machines and probe manufacturers
Slide Products Inc. highlights White Rhino, an NSF-registered rust preventive NSF H-1, which helps processors meet their molding requirements. Containing no trichlorethylene, the rust preventative is ideal for molding operations requiring food-grade active ingredients including medical molding, and offers up to two years of protection under normal operating conditions.
New and enhanced functionality in the latest release of EDGECAM CAD/CAM software from Hexagon Production Software boosts customer productivity with lower computer-processing time and faster toolpaths.
A number of these productivity boosts have been achieved by reducing calculation time with EDGECAM 2021’s enhanced parallel-processing capability.
According to Machining Market and Product Manager Miguel Johann, benchmark tests show a 30% improvement in calculation time compared to the previous version.
ANCA Inc. introduces AIMS (integrated manufacturing system), a system that connects sequential processes in tool manufacturing to facilitate streamlined tool production. Linking separate processes and factory IT systems to each other, AIMS simultaneously provides versatile, modular options for common manufacturing challenges to optimize cutting tool production.
According to AIMS Project Lead Duncan Thompson, ANCA customers have reportedly reduced production costs by 50%.
Genius ERP has launched the Genius Version 12.2 update to its Genius ERP management system software solution, which includes new features such as Dealer Portal, Field Services, an integrated CRM tool and more. Genius ERP is built for SMEs handling make-to-order, engineer-to-order, custom-to-order, assemble-to-order manufacturing and contract manufacturers.
Walter USA launches the Xtra-tec XT M5012 face milling cutter, a productive and versatile new face mill with an 88° approach angle. The mill, available in diameters of 32-100 mm, is part of Walter's next generation of milling tools, Xtra-tec XT (check out Walter’s shoulder milling cutter under this brand), which are said to deliver increased productivity and process reliability.
The tool’s indexable snserts are offered in a fully ground configuration for maximum precision, or fully sintered configuration for cost efficiency.
An array of new and enhanced functionality is said to keep NCSIMUL, the latest digital twin software from Hexagon Production Software, at the forefront of Industry 4.0 Smart Factory technology by increasing CNC program quality with automatic and predictive analysis.
Virtually building the real-life machining environment to avoid errors, decrease setup times and switch CNC programs between machines, NCSIMUL’s 2021 release features a new comparison mode that detects excessive material during a fast and hidden simulation. It also shows a solid comparison between the CAD/CAM models or previous cut stock and the NCSIMUL simulated model.
