Techniks Tool Group offers shrink fit machines that are reliable and simply to use. Induction coil technology enables tool changes in 3-6 sec, automatically selected based on the tool diameter. Moreover, the toolholder is never handled or exposed until properly cooled back to normal temperature, improving user safety.
How does this technology benefit moldmakers? Techniks says that its shrink fit toolholders feature low tool runout for an even chip load to improve part finish and extend tool life. Also, shrink fit toolholders are more narrow than collet chuck, enabling access to machine hard-to-reach cavities within a mold.
The company offers a range of shrink fit toolholders from standard shrink holders, slim nose, coolant ported, thick walls for heavy milling applications and a modular shrink system for maximum flexibility. All toolholders are balanced and backed by a one-year warranty; Techniks offers customers a loaner machine in the event a machine needs to be serviced.
