Hot Runner Nozzle is Enhanced With Interchangeable Needle Gate Chamber
Hasco Hot Runner introduces the replaceable needle valve prechamber Xgate to its Vario Shot nozzle series for precise needle guidance, resistance to aggressive plastics and as a tailored hot runner solution.
Hasco is expanding the Vario Shot nozzle program series from its Hasco Hot Runner Business Unit with a replaceable Vario Shot Xgate needle valve prechamber. This adds to the company’s extension in 2021, which also optimized the technology’s cable outlet placement.
Particularly wear-resistant, Xgate simplifies the maintenance of injection molds while cutting down on maintenance costs. Gates also feature extended service life, enabling high molding quality that holds up over millions of injection cycles, according to Hasco. Moreover, injection can be carried out in the smallest of spaces.
The Vario Shot Xgate’s easily replaceable antechamber with a compact and easy-to-produce sealing seat offers precise needle guidance with pre-centering and is highly resistant to abrasive and chemically aggressive materials.
Two new variants are offered, individually tailored to their respective applications. The Xgate is designed as a solution for either amorphous or semi-crystalline plastics — this means that the gate area and the contact surfaces can be designed to suit the application-specific temperature balance.
Hasco says the Xgate needle gate antechamber complements the Vario Shot program well, which is characterized by compact installation dimensions, optimal temperature control, easy service and a modular design. More than 1,000 nozzle variants enable countless demanding applications, from injection on sub-distributors to high-end needle gate solutions. A large selection of nozzle lengths for distributor and individual nozzles offers a high degree of freedom in mold design.
The Hasco Hot Runner team is available to support its hot runner customers in optimally matching the nozzles, nozzle tips and needle gate chambers to a specific application.
