Oerlikon HRSflow highlights its hot runner system series for small applications. Mainly suitable for engineering plastics, the S Series nozzles are said to offer a compact solution for a reduced pitch. Fast cycle time, high-production volume and quick color change factors are combined with an optimized finish for molded components. Depending on the part, they can be equipped with Sa, Tp and Sp nozzles.

Designed for injection molding of technical and electronic components, the Sa Series is a screwed-in hot runner system, offering a compact hot runner for the production of automotive parts such as exterior emblems, small interior switches, sound system knobs or tiny components in air-conditioning systems. According to the company, it is equipped with a compact cylinder, enabling plate thickness reduction and a minimum nozzle pitch of 37 mm. In its basic version, the cylinder has a height of 62 mm. The adjustable version, which allows for optimal positioning of the pin, is 70 mm high.

Alternately, the Tp and Sp series are suitable for multi-cavity applications up to 30 g, such as medical and packaging applications. The minimum nozzle pitch is 29 mm and 22 mm, respectively. After extensive laboratory research, Oerlikon HRSflow notes that the new series ensures optimum sealing with an innovative temperature profile along the entire nozzle. In addition, the precise engineering of channel geometry enables fast color changes.
