Cutting Tools Ideal for Surface Accuracy
OSG USA Inc. releases two-flute high-precision finishing long neck carbide ball end mill series for high-hardness steels.
OSG USA Inc. releases two products to the A Brand master tooling class. The company identified a need for better chip evacuation in the medical and electrical industries and thus created the A Brand ADO-Micro Drills. In the die mold industry, OSG recognized the need for superior heat resistance and toughness for high-hard steel milling, which resulted in the creation of the A Brand AE-H Series.
The ADO-MICRO is a small diameter coolant-through carbide drill series for stable and high efficiency drilling in small diameter deep-hole applications.
The ADO-MICRO features a unique double margin geometry with an extended flute and shortened end margin to enhance chip evacuation capability. In addition to the outstanding chip ejection performance, the double margin configuration supports the straightness stability of the tool and reduces rifle marks on the inner surface of holes.
The AE-H end mill series features three different types of carbide ball-end mills to accommodate a wide range of applications and milling methods in high-hardness steels.
The AE-BM-H is a four-flute carbide ball-end mill designed for high-efficiency processing of high-hardness steels. It features a sharp spiral curve for reducing cutting resistance, allowing stable performance with extended tool life. The AE-BM-H’s center two-flute specification helps control tear when milling flat areas to improve surface accuracy. This geometry also contributes to better control of the clogging of chips with sufficient chip pocket room for evacuation.
The AE-BD-H is a two-flute carbide ball-end mill designed for high-precision finishing in high-hardness steels. It features a variable negative spiral gash for better chipping control. Moreover, the AE-BD-H’s thick center core helps prevent deformation of the ball tip to improve chipping control.
The AE-LNBD-H is a two-flute long neck carbide ball-end mill designed for high-precision finishing in high-hardness steels. Similar to the AE-BD-H, it also features a thick center core to help prevent deformation of the ball tip to improve chipping control. Its teardrop-shaped outer periphery strong back taper geometry enables milling by point, which prevents chattering and chipping, resulting in improvement of surface accuracy.
