Customizable Hot Runner Controllers Range
NPE2024: Athena Controls highlights five controllers that provide features or enhancements for increasingly precise hot runner temperature regulation.
Athena Controls, a company offering digital and analog temperature and process control instrumentation, is featuring its hot runner controls that ensure precise temperature regulation during process operations like injection molding, thermoforming and maintenance testing. Athena’s plastics process experts are available to discuss applications and customizable solutions for these control systems.
According to the company, its systems are customizable, adding value by fitting the control’s functionality to every job, so customers get the most cost-effective, energy-efficient solutions for their processes.
Specifically, Athena Controls is highlighting:
- Bedros hot runner temperature controllers: Compact and robust, the original Bedros system delivers customizable solutions that provide 8-32 zones of microprocessor-based proportional-integral-derivative (PID) temperature control with an easy-to-use touchscreen. Bedros controllers feature mold storage recipe capabilities that simplify single- and multi-zone system setup.
- Bedros XL hot runner temperature controllers: The newest, expanded Bedros model accommodates 36-120 zones of microprocessor-based temperature control. It features a large, 12" touchscreen and an easy-to-use human machine interface (HMI).
- RMB 3 and 6 series non-modular hot runner temperature controllers: Off-the-shelf microprocessor-based control systems offer three or six zones of integrated control in a compact package design and are specifically designed for runnerless molding applications.
- RMX, RMB, RMA and IMP hot runner temperature controllers: These modular single-zone units are stored in a 12-zone mainframe and are simple to operate because they require no tuning and have a fixed response time optimized for hot runner tips.
- 16CX universal auto-tuning temperature/process controls: An updated 16 DIN-sized panel-mounted control that provides precise control of a single loop with two independent field-configurable outputs, making them ideal for plastics packaging and extrusion.
