Time Is Ticking for Nominations for the SPE Mold Technologies Division Awards
The Mold Technologies Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers Inc. is pleased to announce the call for nominations for its four prestigious International Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the moldmaking industry. Deadline: February 15!

The SPE Mold Technologies Division Awards have been a hallmark of excellence for over four decades, honoring individuals who have significantly impacted the industry.
In 1983, the division established the International Mold Maker of the Year Award to recognize individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the trade. Contributions may include training the next generation of Mold Makers, Mold Designers, and Mold Repair Technicians. Recipients are also acknowledged for their contributions to "Standardized Approaches" to Mold Making and philanthropic endeavors benefiting the community.
Following suit in 1992, the Mold Designer of the Year Award was introduced at ANTEC to honor those contributing to the industry through exceptional design efforts. The criteria for this award mirror that of the Mold Maker of the Year.
In 2023, the Mold Repair Technician of the Year Award was inaugurated, recognizing individuals who excel in mold repair. The selection criteria align with the Mold Maker and Mold Designer Awards.
Now, in 2024, the Mold Technologies Division is proud to introduce the Apprentice of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding individuals in training – apprentices in Design, Mold Making, or Mold Repair, who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and craftsmanship. This marks the first-ever international call for nominations for an Apprentice of the Year.
Nominations for all awards, including the new Apprentice of the Year Award, are open until February 15, 2024, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time (US).
The awards will be presented during the National Plastics Exhibition (NPE) at MoldMaking Technology's booth, offering a significant platform for industry recognition.
