Technology Tuesday – Amerimold 2017 Preview

Amerimold 2017 is only six weeks away, and it’s shaping up to be our largest Expo just for the moldmaking industry yet. Here's a preview of a few products and services you can expect to see there.

Unisig USC and USC-M deep-hole drilling and milling machines are designed to allow moldmakers to combine operations, reduce setup time, increase accuracy and eliminate mold design restrictions associated with traditional machining centers. Visit booth 606.

Among the products Stäubli will exhibit are multi-coupling systems offering a range of connections, diameters, flow rates and types of locking—all coexisting on a single plate. Visit Booth 1123.

Ameritech Die and Mold will showcase capabilities of both its facilities. Visit them in booth 1231.

Waldrich Coburg's Taurus 25 and Taurus 30 bridge-type milling machines feature a robust cast iron structure and hydrostatic guideways that make for a stable platform for heavy roughing cuts, while still providing high-speed, chatter-free finishing for mold and die applications. Visit them in booth 418.

Cavalier Tool has expanded its assembly area to streamline its final mold assembly process and enhance speed to market. You'll find them in booth 617.

SST will showcase Milllutensil spotting presses, designed to enable easier adjusting, checking and repairing of complex molds. Visit them in booth 215.

Among its mold polishing equipment and supplies, Boride Engineered Abrasives offers the Foredom portable micromotor, capable of fine detailing, polishing and even grinding on metal, wood, glass and other materials. Learn more in booth 1110.

SelfLube will showcase its bronze and steel wear strips, which can be ordered to specification with customized shapes, sizes, cut-outs, pockets, hole patterns, chamfers and more. See these products and more in booth 919.

Amerimold 2017 is only six weeks away, and it’s shaping up to be our largest Expo yet that’s specifically for the moldmaking industry. There will be representatives from a tremendous number of companies for attendees to meet and network with. New products and services will be featured that are designed to advance mold designing, mold building, mold maintenance and production of plastic products. There will also be many North American mold manufacturing companies exhibiting, each showcasing capabilities that may provide the solutions you’re searching for.

For now, though, we’ll tantalize you with a slideshow preview of some of the products and services you can expect to see on June 14-15 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago.
