As the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber, K 2019 has many exciting things for attendees to see and learn about. Hot Runner Technologies Improve Injection Molding Process
At K 2019, HRSflow will present challenging applications of its FLEXflow hot runner technology with recent developments targeted to improve the injection molding process. These include examples for perfectly balanced Family Tools with extremely different part volumes, an extended cylinder range, the new SA series of nozzles for small shot weights, as well as HRScool, HRSflow’s innovative solution for hot runner injection molding in which water cooling of the associated actuators can be completely eliminated.
Couplings Suited for Rapid Coupling of Heating/Cooling Lines
Hasco announces multiple shut-off couplings and nipples suited for rapid and reliable coupling of heating/cooling lines to injection molds. The multiple coupling systems Z809 HT/... and Z819 HT/… have been added to the range especially for high-temperature applications. The couplings, which have high-temperature sealing rings for maximum loads, withstand water heating up to 160°C and oil heating up to 200°C. For heating with air, the limit is 250°C.
External Double Ejection Systems Designed to Control Sequence of Plate Openings
CUMSA introduces external double ejection systems, the EX, EY and EZ. The double ejection systems were designed to control the sequence of double ejections or plate openings. Each type controls the travel determined by the customer to stop at the selected plates in a locked position while the other plates continue to move. The systems are adaptable to a variety of medium and large molds sizes. They also provide benefits such as completely external set up and simple maintenance, easy installation, robust and reliable units, and four different rod diameters of 14, 20, 32 and 50 mm.
Proximity Switches Offer Contact-Free Position Monitoring
Hasco’s proximity switches Z1472/... and Z1476/... are suited for precise position monitoring during movement sequences and, at end points, make it possible to detect electrically conductive workpieces when they reach an electromagnetic alternating field. With heat resistance, the switches are ideal for high-temperature applications.
