Meet Bob VanCoillie. Bob is senior manager of the Consumer Mold Management Center of Excellence (CoE) for Kenvue, part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in Skillman, New Jersey, that delivers skin health, self-care and essential health products.
Bob’s role involves global mold management program development and leadership, including end-to-end activities related to mold design, fabrication, qualification and lifecycle management. His skills and expertise include mold design, qualification, digitalization, proactive lifecycle management, moldmaker and molder selection (from a technical perspective), implementation of preventative maintenance programs for molds, molding technology selection based on part design criteria, capital budget management and asset capitalization.
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in package engineering from Michigan State University and has more than seven years of experience leading global end-to-end mold management programs, including designing, building and qualifying molds.
While serving on MoldMaking Technnology’s editorial advisory board (EAB), Bob will share insights on trends, industry news, hot topics and story leads with the editorial team for business issues, software, equipment, mold materials, mold components, disruptive technologies (e.g., 3D printing/AM, digital manufacturing, IoT, AR, VR and cobots), training and workforce development and global competitiveness strategies.
Bob is passionate about working to unite the industry to serve as a forum that drives much-needed change, specifically at the molder level and to drive consistency across mold builders. He looks forward to collaboration and information-sharing with partners in moldmaking during his term.

He is married with three daughters and loves spending time with them and taking summer RV trips. Last year, the family traveled across the country, visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Badlands, Butte, Montana, Glacier National Park and the Pictured Rocks in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
