Mechanical Limit Switch Increases Process Reliability

Precise end position monitoring of movement sequences and other moving mold parts in injection molds and punching tools, in addition to mold damage prevention, can be achieved via Hasco’s new mechanical limit switches.

Hasco introduces mechanical limit switches Z1430 to enable a wide range of possible applications for exact position monitoring of moving components — core pulls or stripper plates, for instance — in injection molding and punching tools, thus also ensuring process reliability and avoiding mold damage. The limit switches, which can be used at mold temperatures of up to 140°C, and which feature a switching distance Sa of 0.8 mm, can be easily adjusted using the Hasco Z14300 eccentric unit.

The limit switches work as normally open contacts, whereby an electronic contact is closed when the switch is pressed. An internal protective circuit protects against defects if the supply voltage connections are accidentally mixed up and reliably prevents malfunctions that would lead to unwanted signals. The battery-powered test device Z141/3 is used for testing and adjustment.

The limit switches are connected to the tool control and, if necessary, to the test device via a three-pole connection cable Z14301 - Z14304 with a straight or 90-degree angled plug. The flexible limit switches are available in vertical and horizontal versions, which are optionally equipped with a plug or a socket for the connection cable.
