The company says its state-of-the-art technology combines this aluminum-magnesium alloy with its unparalleled size capabilities. The resulting product is an aluminum plate with high strength to weight ratios, excellent machinability and a virtually porosity-free structure to meet moldmakers’ critical surface finish requirements.
Duramold-5 sizes up to 38″ (966 mm) thick, 94″ (2388 mm) wide and 150″ (3810 mm) long.
Providing solutions for the aluminum mold plate and aluminum tooling plate industry for over 35 years, Vista Metals is AS 9100 Certified and all its products are melted and manufactured 100% in its fully integrated U.S. facilities located in Fontana, CA and Adairsville, GA.
Plate Products include Duramold-5 Aluminum Mold Plate, Duramold-2 Aluminum Mold Plate and ATP-5 Precision Aluminum Tooling Plate.
These are available in plate sizes up to 38″ in thickness, 94″ in width and lengths up to 220″ long.
