The range of Vario Shot hot runner nozzles from Hasco, which are used primarily with particularly demanding plastics, has been extended. Moreover, Hasco says it has shifted the connecting cables of the nozzle outside the hot half in the nozzle retainer plate; a cable outlet to the middle of the nozzle is now available in addition to the heating outlet near the nozzle head.

This decision has significantly improved ease of maintenance. Because the heater can now be more easily replaced, Hasco reports significantly reduced downtime, especially with multi-cavity hot runner molds or needle valve applications. Steps involved to dismantle, remove, withdrawal the needle, assembly and set back up have also been eliminated. Further, the hot runner nozzle thermocouple can be replaced from the parting plane; a strategically placed groove in the brass body of the heater, enables simplified dismantling and mounting.

All spare parts are available immediately ex stock. The various replacement heaters and thermocouples for every nozzle size are provided in the service section of the Hasco portal. Moreover, the company’s spare parts catalog, which can be downloaded here offers a quick overview of all of Hasco’s hot runner spare parts.
