The M.A. Ford TuffCut HF high-feed end mill is a tool intended for roughing out die and molds when the material is less than or equal to 52 HRC. This multi-flute high performance end mill is designed with a positive axial rake that enables this tool to perform well in this range of materials.
The FHFP is engineered with a rolled cutting face that provides increased strength and prolonged tool life, adding cost savings. With high metal removal roughing in 3D shapes, long reach applications into deep/tight pockets and slots, the FHFP is perfect for a broad range of industries.
This series is offered in metric sizes from 6 to 16 mm in diameter and multiple neck lengths from 3xD to 8xD. Coated with M.A. Ford’s ALtima Q coating the FHFP has optimal heat & wear resistance for increased tool life. The central coolant design enables chip evacuation to prevent recutting of the chips along with the cutting geometry that thins the chip which provides reduced cutting forces and heat adding to the life of the tool.
The M.A. Ford FHFP series, with its suitability for machining difficult materials and many cost saving applications, demonstrates M.A. Ford’s commitment to high-performance tooling and innovation.
