HCLSoftware, highlights the release of CAMWorks for 3D experience Solidworks with the release of HCL CAMWorks 2025. HCL CAMWorks is now seamlessly integrated with 3D experience Solidworks, facilitating the power of data management and cross-discipline collaboration in the cloud. Cloud-connected technologies enable companies to collaborate and combine expertise during new product development from several disciplines, including engineering, design and manufacturing.

The technology is fully compatible with the CAMWorks and Solidworks CAM data from the Solidworks desktop version, so companies have the flexibility to coordinate CNC part programming across multiple platforms and share data between them.

HCL CAMWorks 2025 also includes several additional enhancements.  Machine Aware Programming has been extended to include machine components, collision detection and an option to pause on collision. Machine Aware Programming provides the ability for the computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programmers to create a CNC setup and program a part on a digital twin of the CNC machine. By including a digital twin of the CNC machine in the process, CAM programmers are provided with instant graphic awareness of the machine’s table size, travel limits, rotational limits and available tooling to ensure the viability of the planned machining process.

Typically, machine simulation has only been used after a program is complete, to verify the machining process and identify any collisions that might occur on the CNC machine. Now, with Machine Aware Programming, the CNC machine becomes an interactive part of the CNC programming process. As a result, CNC programmers can identify potential issues earlier in the programming process, increasing productivity and improving part quality.
