Globeius Inc., a provider of machinery, equipment and technical support to the North and South American plastics industry, now offers heavy-duty heated nippers from MouldPro that make degating and cutting plastic parts easier and more efficient. They also help reduce hand and wrist injuries amongst operators by making the degating process less strenuous.
The 29-W nippers are sturdy and easy to handle with open-close actuation via a spring mechanism. Ultra-sharp 5/8 blades feature a cutting capacity of 5/32.
When used with a proper transformer, also sold by Globeius, the built-in heater warms the blade edges for easier, crack-free cutting and trimming of fragile materials such as acrylics, styrene plastic and glass resins. Even when parts and materials are at room temperature, the heated nippers help experienced users perform cuts with precision, leaving a smooth, clean finish.
