Amada Machine Tools’ Techster series of grinders offers outstanding versatility for every use, from simple to complex grinding tasks. Steel, carbide, ceramics and other materials can be ground in manual mode or CNC mode. The machines come equipped with dressing and continuous-path grinding technology and can be used for surface and profile grinding. It features conversational programming software of TS-52 CNC Surface Profile Grinder that enables users to be productive without having to know complex NC programming. Complex shapes can be processed by combining multiple patterns. The combination of plunge and traverse options simplifies selecting the appropriate process. Users can achieve complex mold grinding by inputting part dimensions through the conversational graphic display, which displays a real time graphical representation of the wheel grinding with the workpiece. Rough plunge grinding can also be implemented, and created data can be saved as a G-Code program. Inputting wheel shape dimensions (angles, radius and flat) can create the grinding wheel, and the company offers various wheel dressing systems including: simple 3-point dresser, NC profile dresser or high-speed dressing spindles. The grinding wheel will dress itself automatically, then compensate for the change in wheel diameter, ensuring part quality. Wheel geometry is stored in the wheel library.
