Ejector Sleeves Extend to Greaseless Applications and Larger Size Range
From black nitride (BN) ejector sleeves, to 300 new sizes in its H-13 ejector sleeve range, Progressive Components has expanded its ejector sleeve offerings for customers.
To expand its ejector sleeves offering, Progressive Components has recently added treatments for greaseless applications and extended its standard size range for large injection molds.
Black nitride (BN) ejector sleeves have a precise, lubricious surface that does not require grease in cleanroom applications. With a hardness ranging from 66-70 HRC, the product is also suited for harsh conditions, such as in die casting. According to Progressive, combined with the company’s Through-Hard ejector pins, the dimensional specifications provide the industry’s closest combined precision fit and tolerance between pin and sleeve. Moreover, unlike physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes like diamond-like coatings (DLC), the black nitride penetrates the steel’s substrate and won’t chip, flake or peel.
Progressive is also presenting more than 300 new sizes to its range of H-13 ejector sleeves. Off-the-shelf sizes are now offered, from 15”-18”. Thin wall sleeves and sleeve extensions have additionally been added. From small, tight-tolerance medical tooling, to large molds for automotive and appliances applications, Progressive says customers now have the convenience of new standards, and molders may benefit from the heat treatment that penetrates the substance.
CAD geometry is available in multiple formats and can be found at Progressive Components’ website.
