DME Company is showcasing its S-Core collapsible core, EZ latch locks and servo unscrewing devices at Amerimold 2021, which offer multiple configurations, flexibility and ease of use.
Designed for flexibility and longevity, DME’s S-Core collapsible core offers multiple segment configuration. The S-Core can be as small as 6 mm and as large as 400 mm. Besides rounds, different part geometry shapes such as ovals and squares can be incorporated into the cores, and multiple cores are able to be integrated into one set of retaining plates to reduce spacing between the cores. Further, each core comprise of protective stops to prevent the folding segments from touching each other even if it’s overtraveled.
Off-the-shelf components that do not require machining to fit the application, EZ latch locks are a rod that can easily be fitted to thin plates and uses cams for locking instead of springs. Reportedly easy to install, EZ latch locks can control two-stage ejector plates, three-plate systems, stripper plates and a reverse ejector plate system. DME offers three different sizes to fit any application.

Further, DME also presents its Servomold electric unscrewing products to aid in molding internal treads, indexing plates for multi-shot application and linear movement. The linear system is designed to replace hydraulic cylinders, DME says. Servomold’s internal treaded cores come complete with cooling and are available in multiple configurations. The indexing plates system are designed to index B-plates 180 degrees for a two-shot application or 120 degrees for a three-shot application. All three components can be combined into a single mold if required.
