Seco Tools has named Tyler Martin as its manager of engineering services. Formerly the manager of technical services, Martin oversaw the Technical Center at Seco’s headquarters in Troy, Michigan. In addition to the Technical Center, Martin will now also manage Seco’s Engineered Solutions team, working closely with customers to assist in the development of fully optimized manufacturing processes.
Martin initially joined Seco as a technical specialist, focusing on outside sales, before earning promotion to Seco Technical Education Program (STEP) technician in 2011. For more than six years, Martin ran benchmark tests, evaluated new products and demonstrated techniques to students in STEP courses. At the same time, he began to pursue further education at Eastern Michigan University, where he is currently completing the coursework for his master’s degree in engineering management.
