Prodigy Mold & Tool Owners Darrin and Beth Schmitt are proud and humbled by the success of their 25-year history.

In 1996, Prodigy Mold and Tool (Haubstadt, Indiana) started like most tool shops in a one-car garage with two employees and big dreams. Since then, a lot has changed. The team has grown from two employees to more than 30 and counting. Plus, the original “one-car garage” is now a state-of-the-art 15,000-square-foot facility.

Over the years, the company has continued to combine traditional

craftsmanship with the latest technology to design and produce the highest quality injection molds. Prodigy threw a company picnic on Friday, June 11th, at its local community park to celebrate this special milestone. The food, drinks, games and fun started at noon with customized “vintage-style” 25th Anniversary t-shirts, hats and mugs for everyone.

The foundation of Prodigy Mold & Tool is family, so the big day included all of the employees’ families, which provided an opportunity for both the original crew and new team members to get to know each other in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.

Owner Darrin Schmitt notes that Prodigy Mold & Tool originated in a one-car garage with two employees in 1996, and 25 years later it has expanded into a state-of-the-art 15,000-square-foot-facility and maintains a workforce of 30 highly skilled and dedicated team members with over 500 years combined mold-building experience.  Photos Credit: Prodigy Mold & Tool

“Without our great people, this milestone wouldn’t be possible. They continuously recognize both the necessity and value of teamwork in all shop activities and as departmental workloads shift through the various stages of production, our teams excel in supporting each other to get the job done right and on time,” says  Owner Darrin Schmitt.

The Prodigy Mold team extends a special “Thank You” to all of its valued clients and amazing vendors who make it possible for them to do what they love to do. “We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you and your incredible support,” says Steve Hack, Business Development Manager for Prodigy Mold & Tool.
