Associated Toolmakers is expanding in Europe and has taken premises on the Barnston Estate in Farndon, Cheshire.

The company, which is owned by Big 3 Precision, a U.S.-listed firm that specializes in tooling for the plastics industry, has signed a contract for 16,000 square feet of space at the business park and is investing over £510k in the move.

David Chiddy, managing director of Associated Toolmakers, says, “The move will allow us to treble our current space and to futureproof the business. We are actively recruiting for new people to join us and over the coming 12 months we plan to expand our workforce from 8 to 18 engineers.”

The Barnston Estate, one of Cheshire’s oldest family estates, consists of 1,800 acres in and around the villages of Farndon, Churton and Hapsford in rural Cheshire.
