There were a lot of lessons learned and a “shifting of perspectives” at the American Mold Builders Association Conference 2022 from May 9-11, 2022. Alongside prominent industry names and faces, MMT’s editorial director Christina Fuges and managing editor Grace Nehls spent their time attending inspiring keynotes identifying the significance of creating “moments”; participating in breakout sessions dedicated to leadership, talent attraction, automation, lean manufacturing and sales strategies, to name a few; networking at the setup trade fair (which included more MMT merch, like the infamous #MoldsMake t-shirts from PTXPO!); celebrating the 2022 Mold Builder of the Year and Tooling Trailblazer of the Year award winners; listening in on roundtable discussions ranging from healthcare, working remote and hiring employees; and they even took on some karaoke with AMBA’s Got Talent emceed by Alliance Specialties and Laser Sales.

If you’re interested to learn more about what they took away from the conference, take a look at Christina’s “Shift Your View: Get to Know the Stories of Your Team and Transform Your Shop.” Upcoming articles about the Emerging Leaders Precon Session, as well as pointers from a breakout session focused on talent attraction and retention are up and coming this week. Also, keep an eye out for a new MMT Chat, where Christina and Grace will provide a more in-depth discussion about how they found themselves shifting their own perspectives.
