Alro Steel has opened a new facility in the Philadelphia area. The 149,000-square-foot location was custom built to include extra storage space for an expanded material offering including large structural shapes, bar products, sheet and plate, and the ability to warehouse special inventory programs. In addition, the Philadelphia facility has added capacity to its processing services for bar and structural cutting, shearing and aluminum plate sawing. The inventory and expanded processing services enable Alro Philadelphia to focus on cut-to-size metals and next-day delivery to better serve its customers in the Northeast.

Alro Steel was founded in 1948 by brothers Al and Robert Glick. This year marks the company’s 75th anniversary. Alro Steel is a distributor of metals, industrial supplies and engineering plastics, focusing on offering cut-to-size metals and plastics with next-day delivery to over 50,000 customers in North America. Alro operates over 75 locations in 15 states and provides an inventory of products under the following companies: Alro Steel, Alro Metals, Alro Metals Outlet, Alro Industrial Supply and Alro Plastics.
