Alro Steel Elects New CEO, Chairman

Alro Steel has elected Randy Glick to the position of CEO and chairman of the board.

Alro Steel’ Corporation’s board of directors announced that Randy Glick has been elected to the position of CEO and chairman of the board.

Randy started his career with Alro in 1981 working in corporate purchasing. He held various roles, including inside sales, administration management and general manager of Alro Plastics. In 1993, he became corporate operations manager, and in 2004, vice president of operations. In 2013, he was named senior vice president. Since 2016, Randy has served in his current position of executive vice president. In addition to the new roles, he will continue leading Alro’s corporate operations and plastics teams.

Glick’s father, Al Glick, held the position of CEO and chairman of Alro Steel for the past 74 years. He started the company with his brother Robert in 1948, and he passed away on February 8, 2022, in Jackson, Michigan, at age 95. Alro says he will be greatly missed by the over 3,000 teammates, their families and the Jackson community.

Glick says, “Following my father, the founder of Alro and an icon in the metals industry, is not an easy task. I am proud to be elected as the new CEO of Alro Steel, and excited to carry on the duties of our family business and the legacy that he started in 1948.”
