Technology Tuesday: Hot Runners and Mold Components
This week’s Tech Tuesday blog brings readers a review of several products announced during the last few weeks, namely hot runner and mold componentry.
HRS Flow's Three Layer Tip, Pressure Block and Thread Safe Kit are hot runner components designed to optimize injection molding processes and simplify routine maintenance.
Thermoplay's DL-8B and DL-1B nozzles are designed for edge-gate injection when injection points are located in critical positions and the shape of the part to be molded requires use of a small tip.
Incoe's slim DF 12 nozzle features small outer dimensions and simplified mold cutout, enabling pinpoint injection accuracy into tight spaces.
Developed in partnership with Linear AMS (a Moog company), TruCool solutions from Milacron's DME brand are highly complex mold cavities, cores and components with conformal cooling channels produced using direct metal laser meltingT.
Hasco's Z11 guide bush has no shoulder, making is suitable for use when there is no supplementary mold plate for axially securing the bush or if the plate in which the bush sits makes an additional demolding movement, as in the case of molds with stripper plates, for example.
