I'll be headed to Plastec West and MD&M West in Anaheim next week, so I thought I'd share some of the booths I'll be visiting to learn more about the technology being highlighted.
Accede Mold & Tool will feature a multi-axis, servo-driven action display that demonstrates some of the precision in-mold actions that are achievable with servo control.
Engel will be processing a three-component compound to produce an interdental brush with as many as 500 fine bristles that was developed by Pheneo.
Although MGS Mfg. Group also serves the electronics, automotive and consumer products industries, the company will showcase its capabilities specific to the healthcare market.
M.R. Mold & Engineering will partner with Wittmann Battenfeld to showcase micro-mold making and molding, using a MicroPower 15/10 to manufacture a punctum plug from two-component liquid silicone rubber supplied by Momentive.
MTD Micro Molding will display examples of some of the tiny, intricate bio-absorbable components required for specialized surgeries, orthopedic devices and advanced delivery devices.
On display in the adjacent Toshiba Machine Co., Diamond Tool & Engineering will highlight a mold it built that incorporates a Roehr Tool dovetail collapsing core and a 3D-printed stainless steel cavity block with conformal cooling.
Plastec West and MD&M West in Anaheim, California, February 7-9, connect thousands of engineers, executives, buyers and technology suppliers across the advanced design and manufacturing spectrum. MMT is attending to learn about some of the cutting-edge technology and processes promising to be on display.
