The U.S. Department of Commerce has established 70 not-for-profit centers that will help you determine the best way to improve manufacturing.

The U.S. Department of Commerce's (Washington, D.C.) centers offer a free analysis of what manufacturing problems you may have - be it coping with a changing environment, trying to decrease manufacturing costs or discovering ways to use new technology. But keep in mind that there is a charge for follow-up work. The centers have been established to help small- and medium-sized manufacturers increase their potential for success.
