MoldMaking Technology’s relationship with the Canadian Association of Mould Makers (CAMM) goes back to the days of Louis Papp days. It has always been a very active group, putting itself and its members out there to take advantage of new business opportunities or to come together to advocate for this critical sect of manufacturing.  Here I sit down with three-year CAMM Chair Kim Thiara (and President & CEO of AceTronic Industrial Controls) to talk about her mission to broaden the association’s reach beyond Windsor and become a truly Canadian mold-building association.

Sneak peek at some of our conversation:

  • Promoting our Canadian mold shop members across the globe
  • Paving the Pathway for Canadian mold shops in Mexico
  • Passion of the board
  • Members are shops and suppliers to the industry
  • 27+ years supplier to the moldmaking industry
  • We work on their behalf to broadcast ing what moldmakers do for the world
  • Advocacy work; being the big voice for mold builders
  • “Trade Shows are What We Do Best”
  • New CAMM event coming this September to Toronto focused on workforce development
