Get reacquainted with Camille Sackett. Camille came to MoldMaking Technology’s editorial advisory board (EAB) as an engineering, project management, sales, marketing and business development professional. We recognized Camille in May 2017 as part of our series on Women Impacting Moldmaking. She was the director of business development and engineering support for Accede Mold & Tool in Rochester, New York, but as of 2021, she became the vice president of sales and project management. Today, Camille is vice president of sales and marketing.
Camille works with the president on day-to-day sales and client-relationship management, tracks new markets and emerging trends, proposes and develops new strategic partnerships to meet short- and long-term objectives to reach business needs and requirements, and oversees marketing.
As an avid lifelong learner, she is currently working on a combined Bachelor’s/Master of Business Administration in business management with the State University of New York Empire State College. She studied manufacturing engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology and Monroe Community College and earned degrees in engineering science and mechanical engineering technology. Camille is also an active member of industry trade associations, including AMBA, PLASTICS, SPE and RTMA.
With Camille’s participation in the EAB, we also get the expertise of the Accede team on operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, mold sampling, and facility safety and maintenance. Meanwhile, she has experience with design, sales and marketing, quality standards and organizational process development. As a woman in a primarily male-dominated field, Camille brings a fresh perspective to the moldmaking industry. She works to bring value to the industry by serving on MMT's EAB.
Most recently, she presented at the MoldMaking Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this past summer on how to design and implement a remote validation process. Camille shared how Accede innovated to overcome obstacles presented by travel restrictions and customer budget constraints borne out of necessity during the emergence of the pandemic. However, the process persists and has delivered considerable time and cost savings for customers and benefits for Accede. She provided a nuts-and-bolts discussion of their setup and case studies.
Last but not least, Camille is a mother of three — two sons and a daughter — and a self-proclaimed audiobook addict, which fits nicely into her lifelong-learner lifestyle.
