Would you believe your dirty work?

Despite this beautifully furnished lobby and tailored front offices, behind the shop door a few feet away sits some serious hot runner repair and refurbishment work.

Last week on a visit to West Chicago, IL, I stopped into Thermal-Tech Systems and heard all about this woman-owned business lead by President Monika Frary--a self educated engineer with an immense passion for this industry.  She gave a rundown on the history of this company, which was founded by Marshall C. Harmon in 1986 who formed the company with the vision that it would be "the leading supplier to the plastic processing industry, unlike any other." And to this day, Monika is carrying out that mission.

As you walk around you see her work philosophy placed carefully upon almost every wall of the facilty with a clock--each one making a bold (yet stylish) statement: "Time is money!"

And that is what motivates her experienced team of specialists as they accept many a hot runner challenge using state-of-the-art equipment and processes (fluidized cleaning) to "break it down, clean it up and make it new" for their customers.

I think their company tagline says it all: "Your business' lifeline for plastic injection production, maintenance and tooling.
