Women in Manufacturing

Recently, I've noticed that I've been spending some quality time (unplanned) with a bunch of great women in manufacturing--from machine tool and cutting tool company representatives and marketing/agency contacts to mold shop owners and association leaders. All of whom are women in positions of power and influence and who share the same passion for manufacturing as I do. During a trip last week I learned about a "Women in Manufacturing" group, so I thought I'd pass on the information.

Moldmaking in the Mainstream?

Will moldmaking in the mainstream help attract a future generation. Going to the source to get honest answers may help. The Changing Face of Marketing to Moldmakers

Marketing to moldmakers is not easy, even now with all of the technology at our fingertips. I recall Gary [Orfe, past Publisher] and Christina [Fuges, Editorial Director] coming to my office in Danboro, PA, back in the 90’ to discuss a concept called “MoldMaking Technology.” A first of its kind, the magazine was devoted primarily to moldmakers. I remember thinking that companies like mine and my competitors would finally have some place to market to our customer base.
