The Commando XP Dry Ice Blasting Machine from Amerimold exhibitor Nu-Ice is designed for precise and delicate cleaning applications in plastics manufacturing, and is reportedly the ideal cleaning method for many types of plastic molds, including injection molds, rotational molds, blow molds, compression molds and more.
The machine features a heavy-duty stainless steel exterior with a spun-steel hopper, the patented BlitzFeed freezeless dry ice delivery system and a pellet fragmenter for delicate cleaning. The precision nozzles included with each machine are designed for cleaning complex geometries, tight spaces and areas that would be difficult to reach with larger blasting machines. Nu-Ice notes that it is practical for cleaning intricate molds that may be time-consuming to clean with traditional methods.
As a dual-function machine, the U.S.-made Commando XP is also capable of both precision and aggressive blasting with standard dry ice pellets. The included pellet fragmenter shatters standard dry ice pellets for delicate cleaning applications. To use, remove the fragmenter and add on the optional HD blasting gun for more aggressive blasting with full-size pellets. Optional blasting utility cart with dry ice and tool storage is also available.
