Last week several states issued orders to close all non-essential or non-life sustaining businesses for the foreseeable future. Mold builders are on the list of non-essential businesses despite many working on manufacturing molds for critical medical projects specifically related to the corornavirus crisis, including ventilator equipment.
We encourage mold builders to seek exemption immediately based on the industries that the shop serves. Reach out to your local representatives and trade associations for assistance or seek counsel.
For example, in Pennsylvania a new process was released from the governor's office that includes completing a waiver form.
