Mazak Congratulates Rodger Penske
Team Penske technical sponsor Mazak Corp. extended congratulations to Roger S. Penske, whom recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award.
Long-time Team Penske technical sponsor Mazak Corp. extended congratulations to Roger S. Penske, whom recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award at the White House from President Donald Trump. As the nation’s highest civilian award, the Medal of Freedom is bestowed upon those individuals who have contributed significantly to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace or to cultural or other public or private endeavors.
During the presentation ceremony, President Trump reflected on Penske's many accomplishments in racing, in business and in community service. "I'm delighted to present our nation's highest civilian honor to a giant of American industry, entrepreneurship and auto racing, the legendary Roger Penske," said the president before presenting the medal to Penske.
"It's a wonderful honor to receive this award," said Penske during the ceremony that included his brother, his five children and his wife Kathy. "It's amazing to be here today… Winning the Presidential Medal of Freedom is very special, and to me it means more than any business success or motor sports trophy."
Team Penske and Mazak have been strong partners since 1994. In fact, Mazak is one of the original Penske Racing South sponsors dating back to when Roger Penske founded his NASCAR racing organization. As the Penske organization has grown over the years, so have Mazak applications and involvement with the team.
