A new forum for women in manufacturing to share their challenges when working on the job.

Share

Women working in manufacturing may experience unique challenges when entering and working in the skilled trades.

The Canadian Coalition of Women in Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology (CCWESTT) is a leader for and a voice of a national community for women in Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology. CCWESTT is leading a government-funded project designed to develop a Code of Practice that presents a set or workplace practices that defines a respectful workplace supporting women in the trades.

Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST) is pleased to partner with the Canadian Coalition of Women (CCWESTT) to host a forum for women in manufacturing sector in our community.

This focus group is an opportunity hear women’s opinions, discuss personal experiences and listen to suggestions that may serve as a springboard to help enact some workplace changes. Women in trades will be able to share their stories and provide suggestions to improve the workplace environment.

The first meeting is September 25, 2019 at WEST of Windsor Inc. in collaboration with CCWESTT (647 Ouellette Ave. Room 108, Windsor, Ontario) from 4pm to 6pm
