For those of you planning on attending this year’s Plastics Technology Expo (PTXPO) March 28-30 in Rosemont, Illinois, time is running out to to enter sister publication Plastics Technology’s Hot Shot’s Injection Molded Parts Competition. Submit your part by Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 to be considered.

Hot Shots originally evolved from an appreciation of the myriad design, performance and manufacturing challenges that injection molding can overcome. This year’s competition seeks to tap into PTXPO’s burgeoning injection molding community and bring even more attention and energy to the parts competition.

“The Hot Shots parts competition is a chance for your company to ride the hype coattails of this new and growing trade show, and give your colleagues, competitors and customers a chance to assess your molding prowess on the basis of your submitted part,” PT Executive Editor Tony Deligio says.

Entered parts will be judged based on (a) technical sophistication and (b) achievement in molding efficiency and/or economics (click here to see part specifications). Using a “People’s Choice” model, all expo attendees will be eligible to vote for the parts they think show the most molding prowess. One winner will be chosen for Technical Sophistication and one for Achievement in Molding Efficiency and/or Economics.

You can even check out last year’s Hot Shots finalists and the Hot Shots winner to see how you stack up.

Don’t miss your chance to be recognized for your work in front of the entire industry! Contact Ellen Durchholz (EllenD@gardnerweb.com) with questions.
