At Plastec West 2020, Absolute Haitian will have a live demonstration of the eco-friendly electric Zhafir Zeres molding machine in its booth. The Zeres will run a four-cavity mold producing medical vials.
The Zeres machine cell on display features a ZE 1500/410 (168 U.S. tons of clamp force and shot capacity of 6.84 ounces). To accommodate the mold running at Plastec West, the stock machine includes 100 mm of additional maximum mold height. At this show, the Zeres will run a four-cavity mold producing 19 gram medical vials with a living hinge. The base material is 35-melt index clarified medium impact copolymer polypropylene from Washington Penn Plastics with amber colorant from Uniform Color Company to help prevent light-induced degradation. The mold is provided by Pyramid Mold and Tool (Rancho Cucamonga, CA). The cell also features an AW-05 servo robot from sister company Absolute Robot and a gravimetric blender and loader courtesy of UnyDyn.
In addition, Absolute Haitian has added two new positions to its sales team,
enhancing the company’s response to increased demand for its injection molding machines. Nicholas Dearent has been named territory sales manager based in Worcester, MA, while David Theberge has been named territory sales manager for the west coast, based in Los Angeles.
Dearent reports to Absolute Haitian’s east coast Regional Sales Manager Dmitri Strunkin and Theberge reports to the west coast Regional
Sales Manager Brigitte Rodriguez. Dearent and Theberge will manage and facilitate Haitian and Zhafir injection molding machine sales for Absolute Haitian as well as robot sales for sister company ARI, supporting these companies’ existing customers and developing new relationships.
Dearent has five years of sales experience, three of which are in the injection molding industry. He holds a degree in marketing from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. Theberge is a graduate of Salem State University in Salem, MA and has relocated to the west coast for the company.
“We are committed to ensuring responsiveness to customer and prospect requests as well as providing opportunities for young people who are interested in the plastics industry,” said Glenn Frohring, one of the owners of Absolute Haitian. “We’re excited about the energy and customer focus Nick and David are bringing to the team.”
