Show-ing Off
The issue marks our ninth annual show issue for the MoldMaking Expo.
The issue marks our ninth annual show issue for the MoldMaking Expo. It is full of valuable show information (exhibitor profiles, conference and registration details, MoldMaking Technology booth display highlights and giveaways, networking party details and show floor activities and features), as well as articles addressing some of the hot topics you’ve requested as of late (global competition, trade policies, medical industry applications, quality/inspection, business strategies and lean manufacturing). However, this issue also is where we are beginning our promotion for the 2008 Leadtime Leader Awards competition:
With a new look, simpler registration, more targeted selection process and an expanded benefits program, we hope many of the deserving shops across North America who have not yet entered this competition will reconsider and throw their hats in the ring.
During this month’s Expo and Conference in Rosemont, not only we will be awarding our 2007 winners and honorable mentions at an Awards Ceremony prior to our Casino Night Networking Party and presenting them to attendees in a free lunchtime panel discussion, we also will be heavily promoting and soliciting registrations for the 2008 Awards at the MoldMaking Technology booth. Attend the panel discussion and find out how our Leadtime Leaders have benefited from this prestigious award!
These Awards are meant to recognize North American moldmaking shops who best demonstrate overall efficiency, quality and commitment within their moldmaking operations, while raising the bar in terms of mold engineering, building and repair.
Our four categories are: Large Mold Shop, Winner: More than 50 employees; Large Mold Shop, Honorable Mention; Mid- to Small Mold Shop, Winner: Fewer than 50 employees; and, Mid- to Small Mold Shop, Honorable Mention. Any shop performing moldmaking operations is invited to compete and all application submissions will be considered. Shop evaluation by staff editors and editorial advisory board members includes a review of the mold shop’s overall performance in leadtime, current and projected sales growth, innovation in the moldmaking process as well as innovation in the business side of moldmaking, technology, industry involvement and customer service.
If you have any questions about the Leadtime Leader Awards feel free to contact me directly at (800) 579-8809 or via e-mail at cfuges@gardnerweb.com; otherwise just fill out a registration form to enter your shop into this competition. And I hope to see you at the MoldMaking Expo later this month. Make sure you stop by Booth # 731 to say hello and check out our Leadtime Leader Awards display.
