MoldMaking On Display
In a display case, that is. At Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) in Wisconsin, but not the magazine, our popular "Top 10 Reasons to Be a Moldmaker" T-shirts. But hey, exposure is exposure, right! Selfishly for MMT, but more importantly for mold manufacturing in general, and to some future moldmakers possibly! Bob Novak, a full-time Instructor at WCTC since 1990 who guides the Tool and Die/Moldmaking program, displayed the shirts in the case, which faces the hall of the Plastics Lab.

Bob has spoken at amerimold on education and training challenges and solutions, and has most recently been named 2012 Mold Maker of the Year by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Mold Making and Mold Design Division, recognizing him as an industry professional who has contributed to the betterment of the moldmaking industry, and we here at MMT agree! Bob has noted previously that "he was humbled to win the award and enjoys working with students." During his tenure almost 400 students have graduated and are working in the precision machining industry.
Below you can see Bob handing his check over to Mike Shiels, the dean of WCTC’s School of Applied Technologies.
