iWarriors Give iPads to Wounded Soldiers

iWarriors: iPads to Wounded Soldiers

Many of us take for granted the technology we use to communicate every day. We also take for granted that we have our loved ones at home with us—safe and sound. Recently, I was reminded again how important it is to NOT take either of those for granted.

An MMT friend of mine and his wife asked MoldMaking Technology to become part of a program they were launching that would give back to those who give their all for us with the gift of technology, so they can stay in touch with family and friends—our military heros.

Tim Bartz (VP of Operations for MMT’s 2011 Small Shop Leadtime Leader Mold Craft, Inc. of Willernie, MN) and his wife Kim initallly reached out looking for a name for the program. My husband, an avid armed forces supporter and admirer, immediately came up with iWarriors! The Bartz family liked it and they were off! Rounding up donations from many in the moldmaking community, which have allowed iWarriors to donate iPads to the 3rd Battalion 5th Marines stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA—many of whom returned from battle as single, double and triple amputees.

With such a successful start, the Bartz family and many others involved have been inspired to take this program and its donations even further in 2012—to help more servicemen and women and their families.

The men and women of this moldmaking community never cease to amaze me with their care and generosity. Take a moment to read the story of the Bartz Family journey and then check out iWarriors to see what it is all about. Thank you!
