How Can We Make Manufacturing Sexy?

Lately, I have been having a lot of discussions about the future of manufacturing. Where is the next generation of workers coming from? How do we attract them? And then I got an email from a Karin Lindner--speaker, author, corporate coach, facilitator and sibling of a Husky employee--who wanted to chat with me about her new book: "How Can We Make Manufacturing Sexy?"

Karin says, "I cannot stop wondering why so many people think that manufacturing in North America won't survive. Of course it will! Perhaps people cannot see what's going on because they are so consumed by their daily routine that they overlook the big picture. That's just how it is. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees and yet, if we look at it from another perspective, we are able to see things we haven't seen before. Listen to my thought-provoking questions and let's work together to create a bright manufacturing future for North America!"

Check out her video message below. I think she's onto something.
