The two-day tradeshow, technical conference and networking event featured a record 2,919 registrants representing 41 states and 29 countries. The registrant total included a record number of attendees (2,258) and conference registrants (188).

The amerimold exhibit hall included more than 135 exhibitors displaying products and services used for designing, building, injection molding and maintaining molds.

The 2014 amerimold technical conference consisted of three related tracks representing essential mold manufacturing processes – ENGINEER, BUILD, MAINTAIN. More than 50 industry experts presented on technologies ranging from mold design and additive manufacturing to automated die/mold machining and advanced mold maintenance strategies.

Completing the technical experience was the introduction of Thermoplastic Composites Conference for Automotive (TCC Auto). Presented by CompositesWorld and Plastics Technology, the debut technical conference saw automotive manufacturers, advanced materials companies and injection molders connecting to discuss trends for automobile light weighting and cost reduction.

Two annual amerimold traditions punctuated the professional networking offerings at this year’s event. The “Top 10 Reasons to Be a Moldmaker,” were announced onsite via a limited edition “Top 10” t-shirt. On the event’s opening evening, hundreds of attendees and exhibitors came together to celebrate the mold manufacturing industry at the annual Leadtime Leader Award ceremony and networking reception.

Speaking on amerimold’s future, Miller commented, “In 2011, we committed to making amerimold the event for mold manufacturing. The show has grown each year since and we are looking forward to developing more programs and more features that will benefit attendees, exhibitors, speakers and partners involved in amerimold.”
