More small and midsized manufacturers say their workforce will increase in 2013 than say it will decrease.

According to the results of a hirng outlook survey by Sage North America among 242 executives of small and midsized manufacturers and distributors in the U.S. and Canada who plan to add jobs, 83 percent citeda stronger demand for their company’s products and services, while 23 percent say an improved economic outlook is helping drive the decision. The survey also revealed that of those surveyed who have hired or plan to hire in 2013, 92 percent are seeking full-time help, which seems to run against
common speculation that the Affordable Care Act would dampen job growth, specifically affecting the hours of full-time employees.
