FCS Systems’ clamping systems achieves the support, rise, hold and location of a workpiece, making it a single block with the machine table. Through their ability to optimize setup and the working process, they’re suitable for many different field applications, including mold components and others in moldmaking.

The Standard Breyl is one system option that manages a large range of workpieces size, from M5 to M24. Users are able to choose the most adequate clamping seats to connect the part to the base support using the system’s interconnection components, define in CAD/CAM the clamping setup and provide 3D/2D setup instructions to workshop operators.

In addition to high accuracy and high clamping forces, FCS’ clamping systems strengths include:

  • Setup time is said to be up to 75% less and does not require skilled operators
  • More machining accessibility, with five workable surfaces
  • Modularity, as different components components meet different clamping needs
  • Management of workpiece deformation after roughing or heat treatment to ensure that the workpiece is not held in tension while machining.

FCS also offers a range of modular vises for seatless applications, and clamping system options for EDM machining.
